Does ECT help ADs to work again?

I'm desperate for my ADs to work again, like they used to. I've tried adding Lithium and Lamictal to no avail. My psychiatrist says they're just not working as quickly but that's rubbish, they're just not working full stop. Would ECT jumpstart them back into action again?
