I thought nothing could be worse than depression - crying, hopelessnes, low self-esteem, fatigue, anger, but now, after increasing my Prozac to 40mg, I feel nothing. Nothing tastes good, creativitiy is a myth, existance is a bland, boring, flat, grey nothingness. It's one of the most terrifying "non-feelings" I have ever had. I could watch someone get shot and killed right before my eyes - and I wouldn't care - I wouldn't weep - I wouldn't curse God, I wouldn't care......nothing matters.....
Are the "blahs" better than depression? What's scarier is nothing happens when I take Dexedrine.....
flat......dull......a life with no laughing.....wait-this is life?
Oh dear.

How long were you on PROZAC for before you increased the dose?
Perhaps if you decrease it you will feel better.
Maybe you will adjust to the higher dose after a while?
Things will get better. Keep working at the problem and it will solve.

Ahh Yes...
A common problem with the SSRI's of which Prozac is one. Increased Serotonin=Reduced catecholamines. The first thing to go is sex, then comes apathy, then comes numbness, then comes weight gain...Not necessarily in that order however.Discuss with Your Doctor. Solutions may exist.
