I have been taking Zoloft for about a month-and-a-half and I just started taking Wellbutrin a week ago. I have not had any of the extra anxiousness that is common on WB. I am thinking about stopping Zoloft and just taking WB. My doc says I should stay on both but I don't want to take both if I only need one. If anyone has any experiences or advice about this I would love to read it.

Well, I'm taking Effexor XR 150 mg once a day along with Wellbutrin SR 100 mg once a day. The Wellbutrin has made me more energetic, but I was already energetic from the Effexor. All the SSRIs (like Zoloft) increase Serotonin but Wellbutrin is said to increase Norepinephrine and Dopamine. I've taken the Wellbutrin without the Effexor as a drug holiday, and I do experience much more sensation (and pain too), and a kind of prickling on the skin. Perhaps some of this is withdrawal from the Effexor (I only do this for two days in a row). Some people only use Wellbutrin. My Psyciatrist said that Serotonin has a valuable property of allowing the neural networks to reconnect and form new positive connections that override the old negative connections that contribute to anxiety and depression. So some Drs. think you should use the SSRIs. I'm still researching it to find out if Wellbutrin increases Serotonin at all. This site has some interesting info: http://www.preskorn.com/column2.html
