I like the weight loss (7 lbs in 2 weeks so far), but suddenly I'm starting to get this high pitched ringing in my ears. It doesn't sound this way all the time. Seems to happen in the early evening. But it's so annoying and LOUD it drives me crazy. The first time it happened I went running around the house, shutting off things I thought it might be. The computer, the TV, the ceiling fan. Then realized it was coming from inside my own head! Has anyone experienced this? And did it eventually go away??? Thanks.

Hi,
I had it too, but it went away quickly (within a week or two).

Apparently we're not alone. The package insert for Wellbutrin SR says that 6% of people on the drug experienced tinnitus (ringing in the ears) as compared to only 2% on placebo.

Hope this helps!

>**Thanks. I'm starting to get extreme sleepiness at any and all times of the day--even after a good night's sleep. But sleepiness I've dealt with before. The tinnitus is a new one on me. Hope mine goes away soon too!***
