Yes this sounds like a stupid joke but its from
a very respectable british publication, so ill just quote it in full-"And finally sperm might be the answer. Female students whose partners didnt use condoms are reported as being significantly less depressed than those who regularly did.
Sperm contains various mood altering hormones and the researchers claim they excluded all other factors"Archives of sexual behaviour in press/ New Scientist 26 June 2002

I heard this too. Trouble is I'm not on the pill, so I was wondering if it matters how you take it. My boyfriend is lined up to provide me with daily doses:-)

Not to be a wet blanket, but how could they exclude all other factors? Women who require that their partners wear a condom are probably more cautious than those who don't. And isn't there a correlation between cautiousness and depression?
Either that or those who didn't require their partner to wear a condom may have been more likely to be in monogamous relationships where they trusted their partners. Might that also have an effect on the study?
