I recently tried tapering my EffexorXR 150 mg. day. I had HELLISH withdrawal. Someone suggesting switching to Prozac. I need to get off of the Effexor ASAP. due to INS/$$$ and side effects. I only have a small amount left. I now have myself on a semi-comfortable 75mg. a day. -----I have a pretty ample supply of 20mg.Prozac that should last me until I get to a new Doc after Ins. kicks back in on June 1st. I've never used Prozac, and my docs not really helping right now. Any advice.?? Please help!!!

Hello,
If you are sensitive to medications I don't know if you should take 20mg of prozac but that's your call. See what others say. What withdrawal symptoms are you currently having?
