I haven't seen anything mentioning hard cider or hard lemonade (like Mike's Lemonade) and tyramine content. Does anyone know if these are okay drinks for those of us on MAO-I's?
Thanks,
Jessica

I don't see why not. I've had "Mike's Hard Lemonade" on Nardil; didn't notice any kind of difference. I don't know exactly how cider is made, but it should be O.K.
Be careful with alcohol & MAOIs (or any drug) -- Nardil and Parnate both seemed to potentiate the effects of alcohol for me (I don't know if I got "drunk" quicker, but I did get quite dizzy after only a drink or two).
Hope this is of some help,
Christophre

Thank you! I'm dying to try a drink I saw with Mike's and Amaretto (may sound gross to some, but sounds yummy to me). I definitely drink waaaay let on Parnate, and when I do drink it's extremely rare for me to have more than one drink. I don't even feel like it so at it's not a difficult choice. You're right, they hit me a bit stronger sometimes.
(The thing I miss most is really good cheese! Aaah, for just a little bit of good cheddar or brie. Mmmmmmm.)
Thanks,
