ok so i recently started methylphenidate, genaric ritalin, and i have major migrains. i had a problem with migrains before but its worse now, and the methelphenidate alread makes me jittery so i dont want to take excederine (i always have to take like 4 cause im practily immune) cause that would make me double jittery. anyone have any sggestions?

I would make an appointment with a neurologist
who specializes in headaches. He may put
you on some medicine like Depakote.-John

Venlafaxine is a novel anti-anxiety agent that can be added to Ritalin and has been used successfully for migraine headaches.

so now my jaw has been hurting, is that a possible side effect? or am i just being a freak?
when i started taking this med after about 3 hours from the first time i took it my jaw (around the hinge) is all sore, and when i open wide (as in a yawn...minds outta the gutter) it hurts alot. i didnt hear about anything like this before i started taking it, and i cant get ahold of my doc so any info would help. :)mari

I know for a fact that dopaminergic medicines
like dexedrine (amphetamines) can cause teeth
grinding so its possible the ritalin is doing the
same. You need to check with your doctor. I would
see a neurlogist specializing in migraine to treat
your headaches.regards,
