Hi,
I have restless leg syndrome at night and a few other illnesses that are seriously limiting my choses.
I tried Paxil and let me just say this, first of all the legs acted up so much I was up for hours pacing uncontrollably. Second, NO ONE MESSES WITH MY SEX LIFE! :)
SO, now I am on wellbutrin and I have been on 150 mil for a week and then 2- 150 mil a day since then, so about 12 days of treatment all together.
I am trying so hard NOT to get discouraged. Good thing is, My husband, my self and two children have quit smoking since we all went on wellbutrin. My daughter has lost abtou 50 pounds from it, and I want this drug to work well, because I have health problems due to my weight.
I may be jumping the gun, but I SO wish someone out there has RLS and can reassure me that they found an anti depressant that worked and didn't exacerbate the symptoms.
Im not a smoker anymore!!!
I notice my eating dwindling!!
Now, I just don't want the sexual side effects.
or the terrible RLS's to act up.Anyone else out there with this problem? Too many illnesses to just use any old anti depressant?
Thank you for your ears!
Love

My RLS is a side effect of effexor (and paxil before that). FOr me, the combo of effexor and serzone helps a lot. Also, I take a tiny bit (half a mg.) of ativan before bed, and the combo of the three works for me. I used to take klonopin which is supposed to quiet the RLS, but for me, Klonopin was too long acting (I couldn't get up in the morning). Supposedly, the serzone blocks the serotonin activation that causes the muscle restlessness. Combining something with your wellbutrin might be an option--discuss it with your pdoc.
