anyone ever take either of these for OCD? how long did it take for it to take effect. i was prescribed morphine and i took 30 mg more then 24 hours ago, but have noticed any improvement in my OCD symptoms. Id like to know more about people who have taken Ultram too.

I don't have OCD, but I've heard of opioids being used for it. Ultram may take a few days to work because its active metabolite, desmethyltramadol, needs time to accumulate.
I only found one case report:
Goldsmith TB, Shapira NA, Keck PE Jr. Rapid remission of OCD with tramadol hydrochloride. Am J Psychiatry. 1999 Apr;156(4):660-1.but I'm pretty certain I've seen some reference to morphine treatment of OCD, too. I'll try and see if I can dig it up.

Did anyone have any success with morphine for ocd? Did you have to get a prescription from you doctor for it?
