Hi hope someone can give me some advice here. Started taking Citalopram (Cipramil) three weeks ago for depression and anxiety... found my anxiety became worse than I'd ever experienced, but the
worst thing was the physical side effects - shaking, insomnia, twitches and **ringing in my ears**. I stopped taking it a week ago cos the side effects were too awful, but the ringing is still there. Has anyone else experienced this and does it go away?AL

Hi does cialopram elevate seratonin? I have ringing in my ears from zoloft. It has been 11 weeks since I have been off it, and it has reduced to a low pulsating wisper. Still hoping and waiting for it to totally go away. Can you keep me posted on how you make out with your situation. Thanks
Mary

Thanks for getting back, Mary-Teresa. I think Citalopram does elevate serotonin (is that what causes the ringing?) Nice to hear it may improve anyway. Will let you know of developments...
