Ok, I don't know what is going on. I've moved up from 20mg of Celexa to 40mg of Celexa 5 days ago. Every time there is a med level change I seem to go through a slightly high period. I also seem to sleep a lot.
My level of 150mg of WellbutrinSR in the afternoon has not changed in 3 weeks.
Today I'm feeling slightly dizzy and high. I also feel rather detached. I'm not saying that this is a bad high. Usually I hate feeling high and detached. Today it isn't that bad.
I wonder if other people have felt high on Celexa and Wellbutrin. Does it last? I seem to have the mistaken belief that all of these feelings are permanent. From personal experience with the Wellbutrin and beginning the Celexa this too shall pass....
I hope.

When I titrated up to 40 mg Celexa, I felt tired, like I was in a THICK fog, and had headaches (which I rarely get).
Being on just half the therapeutic dose of EffexorSR, I feel a bit "high" well, more of a lightheaded feeling and my legs sometimes feel rubbery! I also feel a bit detached and "numb" (which I don't mind).

hi,
every time my pdoc increased the dosage of celexa, something similar would happen to me. for about 1-2 weeks, i would sleep about 3hrs/night, i was the life of the party, i was probably the most destructive kid in town, and above all, i felt 100% great! celexa made me feel different than any street drug i've ever tried. i took classes this summer to try to get ahead in college and i went to school for 2 weeks without taking a single note or reading a book and aced all the tests for that time period. my ability and confidence were through the roof! of course, nothing good lasts forever. it always wears off and even now that i'm on 40mg of celexa and 100mg of wellbutrin a day, i still don't feel a whole lot better than i did before going to the doc about depression in the first place. it sounds a lot like mania, huh? oh well, it's fun while it lasts, but if it didn't end i'd probably be in jail right now. anyway, if anyone has any idea why this sort of thing happens to such a limited group of people, i'd love to know.adam

Apunk I had a similar experience on Paxil which I was taking for dysthymia. I was shoplifting like you would not believe and I was also very bold and just didn't really care about what would happen to me and also would have ended up in jail if my depression symptoms didn;t come back. After months of taking paxil I didn't want to do anything anymore and didn't care to do anything with my friends anymore. Before taking the ssri's I was severly depressed and when the Paxil kicked in I think this was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I became friends with over 20 people. I know this experience was due to my depression being lifted. I am off the meds now and feel my normal anxiety and social phobia again. I am starting celexa in hopes of getting the same lift as I did when first starting paxil.

Thanks everyone for your support!!! ;-)
I feel much better today. I have none of the "high" feelings I did when I originally posted.
I do notice that I feel less hungry... I can still sleep at night. Maybe I'm getting to "normal?" Dare I dream? ;-)
This is the end of the thread.
