Hi all --
I have tried SO MANY meds and combos of meds, and nothing seems to be working, or I have horrible side effects. I am feeling like I want to give up.
Currently I am taking 150 mg. Wellbutrin and 10 mg. Prozac daily. I am either very agitated, very exhausted, or agitated and exhausted at the same time, if you can imagine that. I am also extremely overwhelmed at anything I have to do -- grocery shopping, dishes, whatever -- just daily chores -- are too much for me to cope with.
I started out with 2.5 mg. Prozac and am working my way up -- I keep thinking if I can get to the 20 mg. mark things will get better (but they only seem to get worse the higher I go with the Prozac.)
I am wondering if adding Buspar might help with the agitation and overwhelming feelings. (I tried it once for a few days, but was very fatigued on it -- I could try again at a lower dose).
And, I'm wondering if Adrafinil might be a good alternative to the Wellbutrin -- perhaps giving me energy without the agitation?
I know I need Prozac or another AD for my overall depression.
I haven't tried MAOIs yet, but I am trying to avoid them since I am so med sensitve. I couldn't handle any more fatigue than I already deal with.
Please -- any help, comments, etc. would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

In reply to Prozac+Buspar+Adrafinil?? getting desparate..., posted by Cindylou on August 12, 2001, at 12:31:39
Prozac exhausted me, as well as caused me to gain weight.
Wellbutrin is pretty "edgy" but it's well worth moderating that with Buspar or a benzo if it helps and/or you need the activation. It's unique in being dopaminergic.
