Get some OTC Zantac or Pepcid. Others have tried ginger root just for the nausea itself.

I was going to recommend the zantac too! It's expensive over-the-counter, so get the generic.
Try and switch family doctors. Meanwhile get pro-active, even if it is your anxiety causing the problem he/she can give you an rx to help. Ask about something like metoclopramide, or the zantac or losec. The losec is expensive and takes a while to kick in but it has helped me with heartburn.
Let me know what happens!

Six months to see a doc? I wish all the people in the USA that think a national health care system is a good idea could read your post.I would love to help with some suggestions, but the description of your symptoms just isn't complete enough to get a hint of what's going on.
If you live close enough to the USA, you could plan a visit to see a doc in the USA. If you don't live close, there are mailorder sources that have most of the major common psychiatric drugs available without a prescription. Delivery takes about a month, which is certainly a lot better than waiting six months.
In any case, I think the six month wait highlights how flawed some of our best ideas turn out to be. National health care obviously seems like a cool idea, until you see how it actually turns out in the real world. Take the competition and the market place out of the equation, and things get all screwed up. Our best laid plans fall flat on their faces. Problems we never even thought of pop up all over the place.

In defense of our health system, we can walk into any hospital and get treatment immediately, (well sometimes there is a four hour wait) and if needed a specialist will be called in. We did have a stint where you needed to show your health card before treatment but a child died from meningitis so now everyone gets treated. The reason for the needed health card was because non-residents not paying for services rendered.
In defense of the wait, when my father had his heart attack (he walked in pulse and blood pressure regular, I just had said to the attendants that we believed he had a heart attack) he was taken immediately, and when my daughter broke her arm again taken in right away.
Though we do need some enlightenment with mental illnesses. When my father's schizophrenia had flared we were left waiting so long that dad had insisted on leaving the hospital and during this time it didn't appear as anyone else was in the waiting room. The next time when I got him to return he had to say that he was suicidal in order to get a speedier admittance. Once he was seen by the psych nurse I explained that he wasn't. The nurse replied that we had done the right thing. Okay I'm starting to ramble ...

the NHS in the uk for all its flaws is the way
I think health should be done. Everyone rich or poor can get the drugs they need be they cheap or £1000's a shot. In the uk there is private healthcare that people can pay for in order to get faster care and more perks, so no one is forced to take the NHS (but most do).
The main gripe I have with the system is that there is private health care- the money could be ploughed into the NHS -but I guess thats a little 2 marxist.> > Doc says nothing is wrong with me, physically.....yada yada yada. Why does and acid problem come to mind? if anything, I have too little stomach acid or so I'm told by a gastroenterologist. Acidic foods kill me and I can't eat spices of any kind so I don't think it's an acid problem. It's just a nausea thing and I don't know what is causing it. It's quite annoying.
thank you all
I think I need sleep, bigtime!!

Tina,
I may be missing something but the idea that your nausea may be related to anxiety is really secondary to the fact that you are having the nausea. My thought is that if you have access to a family doctor or GP, make an appt to see them and discuss this problem with them. You certainly don't have to discuss any mental history with them if you choose not to. And it certainly doesn't require a Mental Health professional to treat stomach problems.
As you know I've had nausea problems for over a year. I am currently taking Phenergan as needed for it. I was taking the pills, but my pharmacy ran out and now I take the syrup. The syrup is the nastiest thing I've ever tasted but if you can get past that, it works pretty well. I was taking Zofran for a long time. Zofran is used primarily for patients experiencing nausea from chemotherapy. It was an amazing med for me, within 15 minutes of taking it, my stomach felt fine. But at $19.50 a tab in the US, I can only imagine what it would cost you there. It probably isn't an option for you...
Just because one symptom is a side-effect of another, doesn't mean that it doesn't need to be treated. I'm sorry that you're having to suffer this indignity from the people who are supposed to be helping you.
Love ya,
