I've been on it for one month, and my husband says it is helping me, he can tell, but I had a rough morning and half the afternoon today; so do these mood swings still come from time to time? And what causes them?I've been on Depakote ER for about 5 months now. I found for the first 2 months or so I was VERY quick to anger and only felt mildly better. My pdoc bumped up my dose a little and that helped significantly. She did say that if I wasn't responding to the ER that mixing in non-ER is another possibility. So give it a little more time and definitely communicate with your doc.
