LOLmy initial diagnosis was/still is PTSD. so i've got some anxiety. got some flashbacks. got some irritability. got me some anger with that. got a little edginess.
got some tiredness from three grueling years of therapy, immergence of apparent DID/MPD (in heavy denial), and some "parts" with borderline features.
that's "my diagnosis" in a nutshell.
i'm tough. i work hard. wellbutrin helps me move through my day... i think? i don't know anymore. i'm just wondering why i'm taking this. is it providing any benefit?
well, there's honesty for ya.

Have you been on buproprion for a full 6-weeks to see whether it does anything for you? It does help folks with PTSD, but not before 4-6 weeks.
In a clinical study I found, bupropion effectively decreased hyperarousal and depressive symptoms of PTSD. In general, bupropion was well tolerated, and most of the patients who had experienced sexual dysfunction with SSRI treatment did not report such complaints with bupropion treatment: Canive JM, Clark RD, Calais LA, et al. Buproprion treatment in veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder: an open study. J Clin Psychopharmacol 1998; 18:379-383.
If buproprion turns out to be ineffective for you, you may want to consider sertraline, which is approved specifically for PTSD.
This is the end of the thread.
