im kinda confused about soemthign...is effexor and effexor xr the same thing?? and are they ssri's??

Regular Effexor needs to be taken 3 times a day, and Effexor XR can be taken once a day. Effexor is an SSRI at low doses, but it works on Serotonin and norepinephrine at higher doses.
