I have been on celexa for two weeks and feel like hell. My MD thinks I should now increase the dose. I wake up really early, have cold sweats, lots of headaches, loss of appetite, no sex drive and I'm feeling just horrible. So, more Celexa? Makes no sense. I felt better before. Has anyone had a really hard time starting Celexa? I'm supposed to start 40 mg today.

I tried to get off prozac with celexa ... didn't work ... felt like s**t.

i've been taking celexa for about 2 years and i haven't had any of the side effects you mention. i switched from zoloft which totally depleted my sex drive (which isn't good for a marriage) and saw it starting to come back with the celexa. maybe this drug just isnt' for you, or it could just be that you need to give it a little more time. good luck.
