Over-stimulation/OCD

Posted by good4u on April 12, 2001, at 21:18:58

Anyone ever feel like there is an excess of energy in the front part of the brain, behind the eyes? (or any part of the brain, for that matter)? Like an over-activation/overstimulation in that area? I have that feeling, and because of the "pressure," I'm compelled to "make patterns" (up, down, left, right, diagonal - in sequence) in my brain (sounds strange, I know) almost as if I can be doing any other compulsive behavior, ie., blinking, finger-tapping, etc., but the "pattern-making" just comes. Also, this was never a problem until I started taking SSRIs for Bi-polar/OCD. Now that I'm off of the SSRIs, the "patterns" continue...any ideas???

hmm, no real idea, lol, i thought I was the only one who felt weird activity happening in my brain behind my forehead. Perhaps, it is like you said, a relapse of OCD?

Now I am off all meds(about 7 weeks now), have been taking TRUEHOPE supplement formula. All mood symptoms have been alleviated, the only symptoms that remain are the "patterns"/overstimulation in the prefrontal cortex region..right behind the eyebrows and eyes. Perhaps the supplements are having the same serotenergic effect as the meds? perhaps its withdrawal after having been on the meds for 5 yrs?
