I only took Effexor for several weeks. I started with small doses and tried to work up to 75 mg/day. I had taken my 37.5 mgs too close together and became extremely sick for several days. Two weeks later I have the same symptoms but not as violent. Unfortunately it now has been going on for 10 days. I cannot eat and my whole abdominal area is in pain. My doctor believes my present symptoms were exacerbated by the initial effexor reaction. There are the same receptors in the gut as in the brain that effexor effects. I am wondering if I will ever be normal again??!
