Social Phobia Cocktails?

Posted by jb on March 10, 2001, at 10:31:09

Hi. I've seen a number of posts regarding various "cocktails" that work for Social Phobia, but without the weight gain, sexual dysfunction, etc. of some of the SSRI's and Nardil, and without the cognitive and memory affects of Klonopin.

Cocktail #1:
Modafinil (Provigil) 200 mg/day
Klonopin 3 mg/day
Selegiline 40 mg/day

Theory: Provigil takes away the cognitive and memory negative effects of Klonopin. Also takes away the daytime sleepiness and lethargy. Klonopin is used due to its high efficacy for SP. Selegiline, above 15 mg/day acts to inhibit MAO-A and MAO-B, similar to Parnate or other non-hydrazine MAOI's. It acts to supplement the action of Klonopin.

Cocktail #2:
Klonopin (1 mg morning, .25 mg afternoon)
Serzone (150 mg morning, 150 mg evening)
Provigil (Provigil)(200 mg morning)

Theory: Similar to above, with exception of Serzone substituting for Selegiline.

Cocktail #3:
Klonopin
Amisulpride
Provigil

Any thoughts or success stories? Please don't take these combo's without consulting with your pscychdoc.

John
