On one of the overseas drug sites, injectable SAMe is listed. What are the pros and cons of taking it, do you think?

I have been taking SAM-e for over 2 years - along with Celexa. It works well for me. Dr. Richard Brown is the country's foremost expert on SAM-e. I read his book. He is a psychiatrist at Columbia University in NY. In addition to his book, I have read articles quoting him. He prescribes oral SAM-e. I know that injectible SAM-e is available, but I have never heard of Dr. Brown or anyone else using it. There are many studies showing the effectiveness of oral SAM-e.
I would very strongly urge you not to order any injectible SAM-e from a foreign country. Who knows what they are putting into the solution. Go to a local store and buy a well known brand such as NatureMade. Also be aware that oftentimes, people take SAM-e along with other antidepressants as I do. You should coordinate your treatment with your doctor.

Cons.....Making sure you got sterile product or real product. Getting injection supplies and using sterile injection procedures. Proof injection is more effective than a pill.Pat
