Dear Doc,
Can you please advise me whether or not I should tell my doctor that I would like to switch from 20mgs. of Paxil a day to Wellbutrin SR? I find that a most prevalent side effect of Paxil is the inability to attain a normal ejaculation. Other wise I'm feeling fine. Thankfully, Jajant

I am currently taking Effexor. The effect for me was bad, seemed to make me very anxious. If that helps at all. But everybody is different, and you would probably know in a couple of days if it was going to work I think (at least I seem to react pretty quickly to meds)

Please don't sacrifice your mental health and well-being in order to regain certain abilities. For you may never find something that works as well with Paxil. To get rid of the sexual dysfunction, you can add Wellbutrin, buspirone, mirtazapine, or methylphenidate.

>I've found after five weeks of slowly stopping 20mgs of paxil for 300mg of wellbutrinXL to also have anxiety be an issue. It has provided a pleasant increase in libido;including less trouble with ejaculation. If the anxiety continues to be an issue. I will switch back. paxil definately had benefits of less anxiety, and more control of OCD and SAD. Question to above reply? Taking both paxil and wellbutrin have left me feeling very tired. Your advice about taking both is noted. I don't think i like being on both at once, though. Thanks for sharing. Terry
