Hi,
I've been doing a lot of research on the cortisol aspect of depression. GH3 is noted as an inhibitor of cortisol which could potentially help my depression.
I have high cortisol levels.
GH3 is also considered a weak, reversable MAO inhibitor. Looking at the precautions on my Paxil, it says to avoid MAO inhibitors. Ouch! I want to try to reduce my cortisol levels. Does this mean I need to go off the Paxil which I just started?
Have you heard of people using Procaine with SSRI concurrently?
Any help appreciated.

Json,
I'm not up to speed on this. Sunnely is probably the best to ask. I use 5-Keto DHEA. It does not lower cortisol levelsbut it does protect against damage to the hippocampus by cortisol. Available in health food stores. 1/2 price at various internet sites. Apparently it is safe because., unlike DHEA, it does not convert int sex hormones. I take 100mg./day.
