Hi, I'm not sure that my post went through before, or maybe it somehow went in with the Effexor thread!
Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone is taking Celexa for Panic Disorder and, if so, what their experience has been. I just started it the other day. My doctor tells me it's a very good medication and that a lot of people have great sucess with it...

Your doctor is right. It works well for some people. It did not work for me; after giving it 4 weeks trial, I gave up. Maybe I should have waited another week. Paxil worked well. It's all trial and error with meds for us. I hope the Celexa works well for you. Give it a good try.

My doctor tells me it's a very good medication and that a lot of people have great sucess with it...I was put on celexa for panic disorder. My anxiety attacks have since stopped completely. It has been a wonderful thing for the anxiety. I have had some side effects though- tiredness, weight gain, and memory loss. For me, at the time, anything was better than the anxiety.
I definitely think you should give it a try.Good luck,
Kathy

Hi, I was on celexa some months back and had the opposite effect. My panic attacks got so much worse that I had to stop taking it. I hope it works for you though. Currently I take only benzos and they seem to do the trick.
Good luck!> > Hi, I'm not sure that my post went through before, or maybe it somehow went in with the Effexor thread!
