Can anyone tell me their experiences with Effexor?
Are the side effects I am experiencing common, and will they likely go away in time?
After three days on Effexor XR 37.5 mg, side effects include insomnia, diarrhea (every day only about 5 hours after taking the capsule), flushed skin in the face, shaky hands, and tingling in the jaw. Of course, the insomnia also makes me very tired.
Do these side effects sound normal?
How long will they likely last?
What may happen when the dose increases? Thanks for your help.

The insomnia, flushed face and shaky hands sound familiar to me and I take effexor. The side effects should go away in a few weeks or so. When I increased the dose I got the side effects again but not as much. I also had the sweats. After a few months I don't have the side effects any more and feel alright, too. For the insomnia it is recommended you take it as early in your day as possible. Good luck. Effexor has helped me a lot.
