I had a bad depressive episode last spring for which my therapist and psychiatrist prescribed Effexor XR. Luckily, it immediately helped and I didn't have to suffer trying to find the right meds. I hadn't noticed any side effects (except for headaches and dizziness when I missed a does) until I realized that I wasn't having orgasms. It is now 8 months later and I have no interest in sex at all. Is it possible this is the medicine or is it a mental block?

This is commonly reported as a side effect of effexor and other meds, particularly SSRIs.
