Hello,
I have been on Parnate for 2 weeks. I am still alittle confused as to some of the the drug interactions. I have a severe toothache and can't get into the Dentist's office until tomorrow. I have some Percocet left over from when I had a Hysterectomy. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to take one, or is Percocet considered a no no? Thank you in advance for any replies!

As a rule, if you have meds left over from something else, you shouldn't try to "reuse" them in this way. It is also generally a bad idea to be taking opioids other than as prescribed.
(Percocet (oxycodone and acetaminophen) does not interact with Parnate, but some opioid analgesics do. Please be careful, ok?)

Thank you in advance for any replies!Thank you Elizabeth for your reply. I basically am still in recovery from my hysterectomy (5 weeks) and have not been cleared to resume normal activities, as I am still on sick leave. I switched to Advil after my 4th day home and have done fine without the Pain Pill. But Advil was not helping my toothache at all, and I was afraid to take the Percocet. Anyway, thank's for putting my mind at ease.

Sure. I hope you're feeling better. Did you get to see the dentist?

The dentist will know about any possible reactions.
They are doctors.
