Hi,
Which is the chemical name for Adrafinil?. I could not find it.

the name on my pack is olmifon, but it has the trademark r in a circle after it, so i'm guessing that adrafinil actually is the chemical name. my line of reasoning goes: olmifon= trade, adrafinil=generic.

yes you are roght about brand and generic, but I think adrafinil must be a simplification of the "real" chem name.

yep, you're probably right. i thought about that after i posted. i don't have any clue about the actual chem. name.

Adrafinil is [(diphenylmethyl)sulfinyl]acetohydroxamic acid. (C15H15NO3S)Whew!
Interesting, the only difference with Modafinil is that it has NO2 instead of NO3 in the molecular formula. Amazing such a tiny difference can make such a dramatically different drug.
