Recently switched from Effexor to Celexa.
Yes, I have a lot of stress in my life BUT has anyone heard of these drugs changing you inside? I've become sooooooo bitchy, full of anger, irritable, intolerant
and having outbursts. (not like me at all - well, for the most part). Its all I can do to hold back from screaming! My mood has become quite dark.Is this just succumbing to stress and age?
Or possibly this drug?

during the startup period, which is usually several weeks, celexa can increase irritability & rage.
This usually is gone by 4-5 wks or so. a lot of folks show mood lability as well.
for some women there seems to be a period from about wk 3 to wk 5 of weepiness, for some this could be rage instead.
Thus far all the people that have mentioned the weepiness have been women ? may be men are affected the same way but with different emotion ?
