I am trying to come off Effexor for the second time with all the horrible withdrawal symptoms and I honestly think that it is one of the worst antidepressants. I have read that it is recommended by less than one percent of psychiatrists. There is a higher incidence of depression recurring after being off Effexor for a certain length of time. Of course this is not something we are told when we are given this medication in the first place. I would appreciate any views from other people who have had bad experiences on Effexor. Meantime I am just trying to get back to my normal self again.

Corin - Check the Effexor withdrawl thread at the top of this page &/or type in Effexor into the search function. There is plenty of info on withdrawl experiences and what to do about it in the archives. Also, check Psycho-Babble Tips.
The "Search" and "Psycho-Babble Tips" can be found at the top of the page, under the disclaimer.
Hope this helps - Cam
