If someone responds to a message that we have posted is it possible to respond to that person, you know, with a kind of thank you or something related? If so, how do you do it when you don't know their email address? Thank you. Also, I couldn't find the proper area to go to for questions like this. This is not part of the FAQ.

Hi, Larry,
Welcome!

If you want to respond personally to that one person via email, that person will have had to list their email address (I usually don't but did this time). You can tell if they have given their address by looking at the top of the post when you open it. If the name of the person is in hypertext, just click on it and do your email thing.

However, I think it is encouraged to post on this board so all can see. If you originated the post, there's nothing wrong with responding to what people have said to you. You can respond to any post here as long as your post is civil. We try to keep on the subject, but that doesn't always happen either. IMHO, it's the freedom and the support that make this place special, at least for me.

Best wishes,
Allison
