Posts half deleted

When I post something that goes over about one screen's worth of copy, the system is not posting the entire post.

Is this an error in the programing or is this a tactic of low-intensity conflict directed at me? If someone has chosen to limit the length of posts, some message to that effect would be .... civil.

At first I thought is was the old 386 processor I was working with, but I jumped on an Imac and my posts are still half deleted.

The thing is, when I review the post on the confirmation page, it is all there, so it is apparently stored in the memory of Pbabble pages' server - its not like my computer is too small to deliver a long post. It is more like I posted something, carefully checking my post before submitting, and then somebody deleted most of it, starting in the middle of a sentence......

unless maybe the perl script constructs the preview page on the user side from data in the post form. then the preview page would show the entire post, but maybe the limited capacity of the 386 system is unable to deliver it to the server...

heck i don't know. I don't care. i'm not going to find the kind of support I need here, and i've already been educated far more about the way people treat other people here than I ever wanted to learn .... the kind of knowledge about humans that makes me wish I had never been born human. ******* is painless. it brings on many changes and you can take or leave it....

unless maybe the perl script creates the preview page on the client side with data from the post form, in which case, the entire page would show up as a preview but might not get sent as a post.

Maybe. I rather suspect tampering on the part of Robert Hsuing with little concern for the people he is tampering with...a preference for protecting his own interests and the interests of his groupies at the expense of anyone else.

I don't know and I don't care.I won't find the kind of support I need here, and I have already been educated the way people treat people here in the name of civility that I ever cared to learn. It is the kind of knowledge that makes me wish I had never been born.

Mr. B. I wish you well, whatever choices you make. Hopefully ******* i.e. suicide will not be one of them and you can find another way to solve whatever difficulties you may be having on whatever front(s).

As for the techno-issues and your notes about Dr.Bob's intent I doubt that Dr. Bob is limiting your ability to post at length but I have no way of knowing that. I don't consider myself a groupy for anyone but this is a useful resource, even if not everyone always agrees. The challenge is to discuss things civilly and disagree respectfully, if at all, just as off-line.

I wish you well, whatever choices you make as they are yours to make including choosing what sources of support will help you most, and the way you choose to frame your inter-actions with others.

Sante!
