here's the cocktail as of today:
200 mg serzone 6pm/25 mg seroquel 2h before bed/.75 mg clonazepam 1h before bed/clonazepam as needed if night wakings occur.
once again, i'm super impressed w/the new doc. i even hauled off and told him the following:"you've taught me the other side of something i didn't even know existed. WHEBEVER we talk/meet, you're ALWAYS the SAME guy. no games, no hog/white/car wash, you're the same guy. with your predescessor, i never knew if i was gonna meet margaret thatcher on acid, or a 46-year old man in a dress, or what! so THANKEW for the consistence." he laughed and made a VERY sage suggestion: "since i've never known anyone who didnt feel strees even if they wer just moving ACROSS THE STREET, i'd like you to stay on 200 mg sz until you're established in coloraddy. your mood is stable and i'd rather see it stay that way." i love this guy. he makes sense and i don't have to bring my star-dreck universal decoder ring to each session to find out what he means. the piece de resistance? since we only had 15 minutes he only charged me $25.00. normally he schedules 30 m. what a mensch!!
feelin luck somewhat---

irritability/crappy ruminations/rat in a cage schnive have returned to its regularly scheduled level so i called the doc on SUNDAY NIGHT and we decided to go back to serzone 300mg/night for a few daze to see what happens. as i recall (always a dangerous statement-tho the things my ailing mem'ry remember sometimes astound me) i was happiest on the descending dosage of sz-right around 300 mg. he said to not raise the seroquel because if we did it would be hard to tell where the change-assuming there is one-might come from. i gotta admit-i love this guy. he makes sense, isn't a butthead and is AMAZINGLY available. he even told me that he was usually more available over the weekend because he's not in session then. what a mensch. we discussed zyprexa and risperdal and he feels that all three are sort of 6 of 1/half dozen of the other for my case. seroquel also doesn't cause any weight gain. when i started and where i is is the same thanks b 2 whomsoever. keep those cards'n'letters comin!

Sounds like a plan.
A pdoc who is a mensch is a keeper. So glad you are having such a better experience this time.
I hope the Serzone does the trick for you. But, even if not, it sounds hopeful that you have a next possible step in mind.
Keep us posted.

after only one day @ 300mg serzone/nacht i feel better. the stuff was doing more than i thought. yes'm-herr dokktorr is definitely a keeper. i hope we can work out some way to continue to work together after i'm gone. got a good test today too-those dumb bastits @ the loan company are trying to play thier games again-yesterday this would have eaten my lunch. now the useless idiots will simply recieve a letter that will send them STRAIGHT to the optometrist-for a new pair of titanium-coated eyeballs after i burn thier present models out with some well-chosen vituperative whimsy!! everytime these "people" think they weaken the nation. oy.
