Hey everyone I have been on Effexor for about 1 month now but the first week or so after my Dr. increased my dose from 37.5 mg to 75 mg I went through about a week where I was having major and I mean major mood swings one minute things were okay, the next minute I hated my job etc. It seems to have toned down know but it was very scary for a while. I never experienced this when I was on Prozac has anyone out there ever experienced anything like this?
Whould love to chat with people who have gone through the same things.

I had the reaction you describe when I took Serzone.
I'm on Effexor plus Wellbutrin--had drowsiness with Effexor only, so the Wellbutrin was added.
I take 300 mg per day of Effexor XR, and have for probably 8-10 months. It has worked ok for me.
But there are many other posts from people who have not had a very good time on Effexor. I don't know if you are new, you may want to look at the last archive.
