Greetings to Oddzilla:
Thank you for this link.
As a diabetic, just knowing that there's a strong possibility of blindness and
limb amputation is enough to depress anyone.
Oh, well ...kazoo

Kazoo- You have a point! I have often stressed about the side effects and complications of Diabetes. My 17 year old son is type I and has had it since he was 11. He has also suffered from depression off and on since dx. I am sure there is a cloud of darkness surrounding him regarding the possible complications. We are constantly reminded , not just by the media but also the Endocrinologist as well. I try to tell him that since he is on and insulin pump and his levels are fairly stable , there is not much else we can do. I hope that the "we are doing all we can " attitude will help him through his rough times. He has been off and on Paxil. It seems to help. - Cynthia
