I was doing great on 20mg of Celexa. Pdoc raised it to 30mg yesterday. Had adverse reactions (teech clenching, fear, etc..). Took a little Ativan and am dealing with it today best I can. Called pdoc and going back down to 20. Anyone have this reaction?

Oh ya! Not taking celexa anymore though. Side effects outweighed benefits, big time.

I'm at work now five hours later. It appears it was just an initial reaction to the increased dosage. Kind of scary but if the result is worth it I can handle it for a week.

Hi Rockets - Nice to hear from you. Sorry about the bad side effects. I'm on 20 mg Celexa & I visited my family doctor today (it was the pdoc who prescribed the Celexa, but my doc is working with me also about this). When I told my doctor that I wasn't having anywhere near the wonderful results I'd had for the first 3 days, he said that he has alot of patients who have that happen, but those initial results cut out, and he suggested that I wait a good 2 to 3 months before considering upping the dose. So that's what I'm doing. I'll post here from time to time as to how it's going. Brian & I are going to keep each other posted re Celexa, so you can check those posts too, I guess.
Take care. I was just going to post a 'hi' note to you today anyhow!Kath

tina,
Were you taking it for depression or anxiety?
