JOHNL PLEASE READ

John,

I just wanted to thank you. Your advice and reassurance has turned my life around. You gave me the confidence to find a Dr who would try my augmentation idea of Remeron with Anafranil. I am now on Remeron (45mg) and Anafranil (75mg). From day one, I've felt as though I have my life back! The Remeron at the raised dose has demolished most of my OCD, anorexic, depressed and anxious feelings. I have hope again! I am enjoying my life again, for the first time in a decade! The Anafranil helps me to sleep (the raised dose of Remeron acts like a stimulant on me and was keeping me awake before I got the Anafranil prescription). The only problem I have had is extreme Hypotension, caused by a condition called hypokalaemia (to do with pottassium depletion). The Anafranil brought it on but my extremely low body weight is excacerbating it. This has kept me from logging onto the internet for weeks now. Fortunately, potassium is easy to come by in low calorie foods, like grapefruits and oranges (which I am not scared to eat), so things are starting to stabalize and I feel a lot better. And, I am starting to relax a bit about eating anyway, so I may even gain some weight!

Again, Thankyou!

hope things are going okay for you.

Caroline

Anyway, isn't anafrinil the one that has the odd side effect of causing orgasm when you yawn? Or is this just a humorous myth?

Caroline,
It's the other way around....thankYOU! I love hearing stories like yours. I'm so glad for you. Anafranil was popular in the old days, and Remeron is popular in these newer days; you have the best of both worlds.

You know, Adrafinil and Anafranil can easily be confused. But who cares!? Whatever works is all that counts in my book. I could care less what the actual drug is, just as long as the person gets a new happy lease on life. If discussions here concerning Adrafinil led to a trial of Anafranil, then what a marvelous curve in the road to recovery. I love happy endings.

Stay in touch. Nice to hear from you.

Noa, it's anafranil and hell, I wish it would give me spontaneous orgasm! If it would even allow me my previously healthy sex drive etc back, I would be SO happy!!!

Take care, hope all is well

Caroline
