I have been on serzone for 4 days now and am having fits of rage (which is unusual for me). I am also experiencing fatique and very vivid dreams. My sleep seems to be very stressful. I am ready to give up on this drug. I have taken Zoloft, Prozac, & Effexor and never experienced such harsh side effects. I need to know if this will pass or if I should just stop taking the drug now. Anyones experience with this drug will be helpful.

Linda, I took Serzone for a while and loved it (it really helped with depression and social anxiety). Like lots of other people who have posted here in the past, I experienced the "mood swings" and fatigue you are mentioning, for about two weeks, then all that went away and I felt GREAT. Hope things get better for you. (BTW, I'm taking Effexor-XR 375 mg/day now, and it helps with both depression and OCD, but I miss the feeling of contentment, great sleep, and decreased social anxiety I felt with Serzone).--Cindy W

My experience with it has been very good except that every few months it stops being as effective and the dosage has to be increased. I am at the max now - 600 mg a day, all at bedtime. My worst symptom was sleep problems, and this helps greatly. The first 10 days or so I had bad headaches. I took ibupropin and was fine. I am hoping the 600mg will do it for me, because I don't want to have to be switched to something else. Hang in there and see after a few weeks what it is like for you. It's really too early to tell.

I had similar effects initially, linda. If you can hang in there, they might go away. They did for me.
