When I visit PB from my office computer, the yellow tags are very unreliable. Sometimes they show up, sometimes not. Often, they only show up *after* I select a message by clicking on it. Does this have something to do with not having Java? If so, is Java something that I should have on this computer? Would there be a reason the organization I work for would not want me to have Java?

I don't think it has anything to do with Java. I have Java on my computer and still find these tags to be excruciatingly inaccurate.> When I visit PB from my office computer, the yellow tags are very unreliable. If your company is like mine, they intend the web to be used for business only and they may utilize something other than Java for their internal purposes. Also, if they are like my employer, they are monitoring everything that goes out and comes in via Email. This to insure no viral attacks. Be careful what you post, someone may be watching.

Weird, I've never seen that. The tags depend on Javascript, not Java, but if you don't have it, you shouldn't get them at all.
Maybe it's just slow and needs more time?
Does it only happen when the page is really long, like now? Maybe it would help to give your browser more memory. To do that on a Macintosh, select the browser icon; under the File menu, choose Get Info, then Memory; and increase the Preferred Size.
