My patient is a 75 yo man who took estrogen for prostate cancer. He was relieved and delighted not to be bothered by his sexual obsessions. The cancer is treated. He wants to continue the estrogen treatment. Has this been done, reasonably safe?

It is my understanding (based on reading medical information on the net [sic reader beware]) that if a male takes estrogen for more than 90 days he becomes irreversibly sterile. This probably isn't a factor in a 75 year old man though.
