Thanks for asking Kath. I'm so humbled by the fact that you want to know even with so many of your own troubles. Means A lot to me. Well, I loved him from the second I walked through the door. He was cheerful and kind, understanding and very patient. He asked me the usual questions and about what I was taking now. After the whole thing was over---several panic attacks later--his recommendation was that celexa IS the right med for me but I need to drop the dose and to add serzone to it. He says if I react badly to the serzone that I can take neurontin instead. I have renewed hope. I'm feeling damn good right now, like, maybe my future IS worth looking forward to. Thanks for the concern, you take care of yourself. I'll keep in touch, we'll see how I feel on the serzone.

Tina, good to hear you had a good experience. Good luckwith the serzone. A lot of people, myself included, found that the INITIAL effects of serzone were tough, but those effects wore off after a few weeks. For example, feeling rage, agitation, emotionality. Also, some drowsiness, fuzziness, lack of coordination. But if you can tolerate these for about 3 weeks, it goes away.
I am glad he also gave you an idea of a back up plan, ie the neurontin. Perhaps he did this because you asked. If so, good for you!! I think it helps us to fell hopeful to know there are options for us, that we have not come to a deadend.
Keep us posted.

Good to hear you've been given some light at the end of your tunnel.
Did he say anything about your sleeping?? Even though I've been given these sleeping tablets (and the pdoc said that he wouldn't give me more than 2 weeks worth anyway), and they make me fall asleep fine - By 2am I'm awake again, and spend the rest of the night tossing and turning.
Would be interested to hear what your guy said.
Thanks hun.. Nikki x

> Thanks hun.. Nikki xNikki- Thanks for asking. He seemed to think that my sleep would sort itself out once I started on the serzone. I can't get it until next week with my finances the way they are but I feel a lot better just knowing that it will help. He wants me to take all my drugs at night since a side effect of them is drowsiness. He also said I can still take the Xanax if I can't sleep. I'm going to wait and see how the serzone effects my nights and then move forward from there. Thanks again for asking and caring but How are YOU doing?

Hi Tina,
You really are one of the sweetest people.. however bad you'e feeling, you always manage to show concern for others, thats something alot of us should learn from ((hugs))
Things haven't been too bad this week.. feeling a bit manic alot of the time, but I've kind of managed to deal with that.
Crashed big style today - went out for a friends birthday last night and got pretty drunk, and then woke up with my period... It's 8pm now and I've only just managed to leave the bedroom. The worst bit, I was too scared to call into work, so switched my cell phone off and ignored the main phone... I just know I'll panic all weekend about work on monday. What I'd like to do is take the sleeping pills steadily all weekend, so I simply sleep for it all, and thus not have to think.Oh well... I'll have to avoid the avoidance stuff and try and carry on this weekend...
thanks for being such a sweetie
Nikki xx

I'm so sorry you are having such a crappy day. Everybody needs a day off--screw work, don't even think about it until monday morning. There is nothing wrong with hiding under the covers for a while, I do it too. These damn periods are pains in the ass too, I know. I always seem to be a lot more unstable when my hormones are running amock. I've always had hormone imbalances (since I got old enough to know what hormones were) High school was hell. Little miss bitch--they called me that for 7 days a month. I took the pill for years but I think that screwed me up even more. What can you do, women have all the shit to deal with. I hope you do get sleep this weekend, it can do wonders for the psyche just turning off for a bit. To hell with anyone who doesn't like it, YOU do what you need to. I'll be thinkin' of ya. h
Hugs
