Janice,
You have a good memory - and thanks for caring. They are better than nothing, but far from ideal. This has been a very low week. My pDoc wants me to consider the vagal nerve stimulator. My insurance would balk at that since it isn't FDA approved yet for mood regulation. I guess he's trying to generate hope. If you find any great answers to rapid cycling/mixed bipolar, please let me know. I would exit, but don't want to hurt innocent people. Besides, the Master Designer must have some kind of plan. I would participate here more, but just don't have the energy.

Blessings,

Chris A.

Hello Chris A.,

I was hoping it would be working for you. I have heard good things about the Vagus nerve stimulator helping the moods for people with epilepsy. And it seems the same medication can work for the two disorders.

If I remember you work in the medical profession, and you seem very well educated about your disorder. I wish I could help. Of course, if I discover a cure, I'll let you know.

Please take care Chris, Janice

Chris,

I hate to use a tired old phrase like "hang in there" because one can only hang in there if there is hope that things will get better. I know for me, when I had little hope left, I let myself rely on the hope that others had that there is a way out, eventually. It can be so damn demoralizing to go through remedy after remedy with no progress, or with progress and then backsliding. But evey day there are new possibilities of treatments that could help. Please know that you are not alone. And if you need to hang in there, lean on us, we'll hold on together.
