I thought of e-mailing Dr. Bob personally about this, but he's a busy guy so I thought maybe another Babbler could answer my question.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but I thought at some point Dr. Bob said something about removing certain non-offensive posts from the current board, while keeping them available in the archive. But I've searched and searched, and I can't locate anything that talks about this.
Assuming I didn't dream this up, can anyone tell me what the purpose and criteria for such a removal were? Better yet, could you tell me when Dr. Bob's post on this subject appeared? Maybe re-posting a copy of it wouldn't be a bad idea, for those who missed it the first time.
It also might be a good idea for Dr. Bob to add this info to the FAQ.
Thanks,
Rick

I don't think I ever said anything like that. I only remove posts in extreme circumstances. And then there's no reason to let them be saved in any archive.
Bob
PS: I also clean up sometimes and remove duplicate posts, but that's entirely different.
