MOOD STABILIZERS AND WEIGHT GAIN, HELP

I've been diagnosed as a bipolar II, and my doctors have recommended that I try a mood stabilizer. The problem is, like many people, I'm very sensitive about my weight and gaining any weight at all makes me even more depressed than I was before. I know that lithium causes bloating, and depakote also typically packs on the pounds.
Has anyone out there successfully tried one that didn't cause weight gain? Please help!
