I am taking 2000mg of depakote. A few days after I raised the dose from 1500 I started having a sort of intestinal nausea. No vomiting etc. At first it was constant and now it comes about an hour and a half after I eat anything and hangs around for a long time. I am not sure if it is the depakote or just coincidence and I should see my regular doc. This has been going on close to 2 weeks now. I have started skipping lunch at work so I don't have to feel nauseous as much.

Even though I take the Depakote all at once after dinner the nausea is all day long. Any help here?

> I was just started on depakote 3 weeks ago and now I am on 1000 mg.; and I too noticed nausea and lack of appetite, but I thought it was because it was added to the neurontin. I also thought it was because we had increased the dose. Funny because I thought you usually gain weight on this med and I am thinking that I dont even have an appetite because nothing tastes good and due to the nausea, why would I want to eat extra. I think though that after a few weeks, it wears off. Also maybe your level is too high? I dont know. I hope this helps. Heather
