Triamterene/HCTZ and Zoloft

Posted by Geez on June 10, 1999, at 8:07:49

I was just curious if anyone had any experience with Triamterene which is a diuretic? I don't believe its as much for depression as it is to remove water weight gain (which can cause depression in itself). Also any input on
Zoloft would be appreciated. I have been on celexa (hated it), prozac (which helped for a short period of time) and now zoloft. Any experience such as insomnia, weight gain or loss, compulsiveness, sweating, etc. would help because
I am always hesitant to start on a new drug. In advance, thanks a million.

Hi! I have been taking zoloft 50 mg for a month now and I finally have my life back. I couldn't go to work, malls, or even get my nails done. I am also on a diuretic and have found great result in loss of weight a whole size. I was sick for 3 months before the doctor found out I was suffering from depression, stress anxiety and panic attack which if not treated can turn into other fears. Zoloft does work but it took me 3 weeks before I felt like my old self.

I am a 33 yrs old Mom of 1 13yr old. Hope this helps you !!! Please write back!
