Hi, has anyone read anything (either serious textbook style or novel style) concerning anxiety/social phobia?
There seems to be plenty of stuff about depression out there but not about anxiety.
Of the one's I've read (concerning depression) I'd say the following were very helpful
Girl Interupted by Suzanna Kaysen
Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel
The Bell Jar by Sylvia PlathAny recomendations (films as well)?

I can't remember specifics, but I saw a few books on social phobia at Barnes and Noble.
Also, have you seen The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook? It is listed in Dr. Bob's book recommendations. It is a good resource about all kinds of anxiety disorders.
Good luck.

If emotional abuse is an issue in your depression, I would highly suggest Alice Miller's, "Drama of the Gifted Child," or "Thou Shalt Not Be Aware."
