Been listening to U2 on random shuffle (he said "random" hehe hehehe) and this song popped up. I saw U2 in Detroit touring in support for "The Unforgettable Fire". For their final song in their oncore, they played an extended version of "40" and had the whole audience singing "how long to sing this song". And one at a time, they'd leave the stage. Bono first, then the Edge, then Adam Clayton. Larry Mullen eventually stopped playing and just sat there as they audience kept singing that refrain over and over. After a few minutes, he stood up from his kit and left. The stadium lights came up, about 60% of the audience left, and about 40% of the audience stayed and kept singing.
That, other than rowing, has been the greatest sense of synchronicity I have ever had the pleasure and fortune to experience.

flb--
Sounds like a wonderful experience. Synchronicity and serendipity are wonders to behold...as well as (IMHO) 'great experiments.'S

G'Day Bob
This is about my fifth go at sending a post - I forgot my password, it has been such a long time between posts!!
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and let you know we are going to see U2 on November 16 here in Australia! We are travelling more than 3,500km to see them, as they are not coming to the city where we live!
This is a lifetime dream for my husband - when he was having treatment for cancer a while back, in the midst of the chemo and the horror, he promised me he would beat the bloody cancer and take me to see U2!
Well, my husband keeps his promises, he is sitting beautifully in remission with no sign of the cancer....plus we (including our three kids) are heading east to see our all time favourite band. U2 were coming here in March, but had to cancel, so it is terrific they are able to make it here....we can't wait, I think the best thing is that my husband is well, he thinks that was never an issue and he was always going to beat the cancer and bring on U2.
All the best to you Bob, so good to see posts from you.
Deb.

G'Day Deb!
I'd say "God Bless" but sounds like from your post God already saw to that ;^). Too bad I've been way too busy sending out marketing emails to stop by more often, but it's Thanksgiving Day here in the US and I had to stop by.
All the best,
flb
