I've been trying to locate the details, but it seems it's in Toronto in May.
Close to moi!
Anyone might be able to come? I don't know most of the people - make that ALL of the people who I see posting about it.
Pretty quiet around here.

Hmmm, I doubt it. I have less than $200 USD in hand, so it seems quite unlikely.
Plus, I'd just be a downer. However, I DO hope other oldies will check in, figure it out, and GO!
Meeting the few oldies I have had the great pleasure to meet (or relative oldies), I would encourage any PB'er that could make it to go.
I am pretty much going down in flames. And, the fires are lovely.

To All,
Shar

Hi Shar - sorry yer going down in flames!
I'd like to go if I got a chance to meet folks I "know". Otherwise I doubt it.Nikki - Oh you lucky thing!!!!! How did you arrange that? How on earth did you find out about it; what are sloths? Do they have four legs, fur & move slowly?
Do you have to pay all the expenses, or once you're there some things are provided? I'll be really interested to hear how it goes & what was involved, etc.Phil - Oh heck - I reckon you can cuss all ya want as long as ya keep it 'civil' !!! LOL

Yup, sloths are furry, have 4 legs and move *very* slowly *g* Spend vast majority of their lives in a tree, hanging from a branch.. and actually move so slowly that moss grows on them, so they often have a green "tinge" to them!
This is the place we will go to - http://www.ogphoto.com/aviarios/
Well.. someone J knows found the website of the sloth rescue centre, and as I adore sloths, we basically started planning the trip around a visit there! We're organising it all ourselves.. and will be paying for everywhere we stay, but at really cheap rates. Our plan at the moment is to fly to the capital and get a bus to the carribean side, where the sloths are.. spend 5 days there before moving for a few days chill out at an eco-lodge on a volcano.. Then down to the Pacific side, where I will spend a week working on a sustanable project in the rain forest, while J goes to the coast to do some scuba diving.. Then meet up again at another eco lodge near where I will be for around 5 days of exploring the rain forest..
We bascially just found everywhere on the internet, and I found someone at another site I use who has done a similar trip there who reccomended some places to go.. We're booking our flights through our usual travel agent, but everything else is simply being done via email *L*
The internet is a wonderful thing!!!
